americanboatparadeIn HotDish Hell, MN, we boast one of the best fireworks displays in southern Minnesota. Why? Because we like to blow things up.

The good folks of the Interlocking Yak Club thought it would be a novel idea to dress our boats up to parade around Lake Ton ‘o Sissys before the fireworks display.

This is the conversation i had with a very patriotic friend Hank Bigman:

Hank: you gonna dress yer boat up fer the parade?

Me: maybe. Are you?

Hank: i was gonna dress my duck boat up with red, white and blue lights and shoot off bottle rockets from it.

Me: wow. that’s impressive.

Hank: you should do something with your boat.

Me: i was thinking about borrowing that large American flag from Perkens and flying out the back of my boat.

Hank: that would be awesome! you should do it!

americanflagburnMe: yeah, i’d circle around a couple times and then disappear around the point and then come back with a turban on my head, the flag upside down and burning, and me waving an Iraqi flag.

Hank: (red in the face) You peice of *CENSORED*!! If you do that I’ll *CENSORED* shoot you myself!! I GUARANTEE…that everyone on shore would be pointing a gun at you!!

Me: take it easy, man, it was a joke.

Me: yeah it was. you just need to find your sense of humor, buddy.

Me: hey, i think i found your sense of humor…it’s pulsing on your forehead….easy, boy.
