If there’s one thing us HotDish Hellions never run out of, is a place to drink our booze, or a place to eat pizza, or bank, or fill up our car with gas, or a place to buy second hand clothing…but i digress…
Ton O’ Sissys Saloon, formerly owned by Jim Curtain, sold his slice of carribean paradise at auction and with new owners the opening of Lot O’ Boats Lodge takes it’s place. With a more rustic north woodsy feeling, the Lodge will boister much of the same menu, liquor, and tomfoolery as it’s predecessor.
Pulled pork sandwiches and bottled beer, painted walls and hi-top tables are the improvements made to the renovated saloon.
Summerime was when the Ton O’ Sissys shined. With their large patio, live weekend shows, candle lit patios and barbecued grub gave you a sense of being on vacation. Winter time was always a hard time with limited indoor space, and open patio with the wind coming in off the lake; not many patrons braved the elements to enjoy a drink.
So lets welcome the Ton O’ Boats Lodge and wish for the best.
